What music can I use with Transitions DJ?

Transitions DJ allows you to mix music from your local computer or SoundCloud. You are not required to create a SoundCloud account to play publicly available songs from the SoundCloud catalog, but you do need a SoundCloud account to if you want to use playlists with SoundCloud.

How do I add my own music to Transitions DJ?

You can add folders containing your music to Transitions DJ in two ways:

  1. Clicking the button labeled "Add Music" at the bottom of the left library panel and then selecting "Add folder".
  2. Selecting "Add Music" from the File menu (not available on Web)

Why am I not seeing all of the songs from my SoundCloud account?

Transitions DJ tries to load all songs from your SoundCloud favorites and playlists. If you are not seeing a song, you may need to add it to a playlist and restart Transitions DJ.

There are also some SoundCloud tracks that are unavailable in third-party apps because of copyright or other restrictions.

Why am I getting a "Download failed" error when playing songs from SoundCloud?

If you are seeing the "Download failed" for certain songs, it is likely that SoundCloud has restricted access to the song.

If you are seeing the "Download failed" error for every song, there may be a problem with your internet connection or with your SoundCloud credentials. Try these steps in order to correct the problem:

  1. Check your internet connnection.
  2. Try restarting the app.
  3. Try reconnecting your SoundCloud account.

Does Transitions DJ support Apple Music?

Transitions DJ supports songs from the Music/iTunes app that you have purchased. However, songs Apple Music streaming service are not available to third-party apps because of copyright.
